Job Description

Operations Project Manager reports to Head of Architecture and Visual Merchandising (global). A focus on managing department operations relating to new store project development and openings, production timeline, vendor management, fiscal tracking, planning execution and coordinating communication relating to rollout of new concepts. The daily tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Manage and partner with Maintenance and Operations on all necessary planning to meet deadlines related to development and tactical execution for store construction.

  • Partner with VM/Architecture team regarding development of new concepts and fixtures.

  • Fiscal tracking for new store and renovation budgets.

  • Coordination and planning for fixture development and roll-outs.

  • Lead value engineering on all store design elements.

  • Vendor sourcing and management.

  • Support VM, 3D and Store design teams on process and systems to ensure overall efficiency (calendar, production timeline, proto review, approval process, execution).

  • Lead planning regarding renovations.

  • Oversees the management of construction schedules.

  • Planning of new and reusable equipment for existing store renovations.

  • Operational follow up post-opening to ensure all punch list items are addressed with vendors.

  • Partnership with facilities and operations regarding store repairs.

  • Planning and execution of HQ projects such as showroom installations.

  • Partnership with Legal department as needed regarding new vendor agreements and permit request.

 

  • 5 years + as Project Manager and or Operations.

  • Experience in corporate procurement systems and management.

  • Understanding of retail architecture and store concept (functionality)

  • Some knowledge of Sketchup, Autocad and/or Rhino (3D programs preferred).

  • Excel and Microsoft programs.

  • Strong skillset in organization, planning, communication.

  • Strong decision making and financial acumen.

  • Ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with key stakeholders and various levels of organization.

  • Ability to manage timelines and anticipate obstacles.

  • Previous experience with visual modeling systems a plus
